Ken is a member of the International Trademark Association, the Dade County Bar Association (serving on the federal courts committee), the Florida Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association Litigation and Patent, Trademark and Copyright Sections. He served on the Florida Bar Code and Rules of Evidence Committee in 1991 and 1992, and is presently on the Intellectual Property Committee of the Business Law Section. Since 1993, Ken has been an adjunct faculty member of the University of Miami School of Law Litigation Skills Program. Ken is also on the board of directors for the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association. Ken practices in the areas of commercial and intellectual property litigation.
KENNETH R. HARTMANN was born in Monterey, California on May 16, 1950. He obtained a B.A. degree in psychology from Lafayette College. Ken graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1986, where he served on the Editorial Board of the University of Miami Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif (an honorary legal society). He served as a judicial intern for United States District Court Judge Eugene Spellman. Ken was admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States District of Florida and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh and Federal Circuits. Ken is also a member of the Trial Bar for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
