JANET L. HUMPHREYS
Janet L. Humphreys is currently
of-counsel to the firm specializing in highly-complex litigation.
Janet is a seasoned trial attorney who handles some of the firm's
most sophisticated commercial litigation matters and class actions.
She is well recognized for her recent lead role in obtaining an $88.5
million product liability jury verdict for two commercial clients.
Janet also handles many of the firm's appellate matters, and has successfully
negotiated many multi-million dollar settlements.
Although Janet joined the firm in 1987 and quickly became a shareholder,
she left the firm for a short time in 1994 to work as Associate General
Counsel for Knight Ridder, Inc. where she specialized in libel and
first amendment matters, antitrust, and intellectual property. Since
returning to the firm in 1998, Janet has focused primarily on products
liability, RICO, antitrust, and class action matters.
